Not an April fools joke! We've made some upgrades to our design portal to improve usability and added new features that you might find useful.

1. Design Portal Updates

We've completely updated the user interface of the design portal to make the experience of working with your designers easier. The image below is what the request/project discussion section looks like.

What's new here:

  • You can preview attachments within the request

  • More space

  • Real time communication

  • Read receipts, "Seen by"

  • Quickly switch through details, files, & checklists

2. Design Annotations

This is a game-changing feature which enables you to provide feedback easily. Similar to Figma, you can now leave feedback directly on design previews and mark them as approved:

3. Ticketing System

Why? This way we can handle queries that fall outside design projects. This includes discussions, questions, account related topics, and more:

4. Kanban View

We've added a Kanban view to your requests and dashboard pages. This will let you view all your requests in Kanban style columns, very similar to Trello. You can drag and drop requests between these columns, and switch back and forth between the views with the button on the top right.

Final word

That's it! As always, if you have any questions or feedback around this update, feel free to reach out to me directly.

A gigantic thank you to our customers that have made this update possible. Some of you have been with us for close to 3 years, some fewer. Regardless of how long you've been with us, none of this would be possible without you and I have to extend a HUGE thank you from myself and the rest of the Teamtown team to you and yours.

Have a wonderful April, and see you on the design portal!
